Founded in 1885, Glen Spey distillery was originally part of the Mills of Rothes. Water from the Doonie Burn is used to produce this smooth, warming single malt Scotch whisky. A slight sense of wood smoke on the nose is rewarded with a spicy, dry finish.
A smooth, pleasant and lighter style single malt Speyside with tropical and fruity notes of ripe peaches pineapple and hints of lemon. Fresh, green nose with wisps of smoke, then light, smooth sweetness balancing to a dry finish.
ABV: 43%
Region: Speyside
Nose: Mild nose-feel. Closed. Lightly fruity - greengages and white grapes. With water, fresh and estery, but still relatively closed.
Body: Medium-bodied with a smooth mouthfeel.
Palate: Warming. Light sweetness, with some acidity.
Finish: Dry, medium length. Some chocolate and light coconut in the aftertaste.
