A long-time whisky fan, Harrison visited Glenmorangie to film our series 'Once Upon a Time in Scotland’. Our homeland soon won him over with its rugged beauty, its warm and welcoming people – and especially our elegant single malt, created in the Highlands since 1843.

Setting aside time from filming, Harrison sat down in a warehouse with our Master Distiller Dr Bill Lumsden, to sample some of our very best casks. To celebrate Harrison’s fondness for our whisky, Dr Bill created this highly limited single malt, tailored to the actor’s taste.

With classic Glenmorangie cast alongside rare whisky finished in toasted Portuguese red wine casks, our limited edition stars aromas of vintage marmalade, supported by buttery notes. A honeysuckle cameo gives way to grapefruit and lemons. Drops of orange oil fall on aged leather in the closing scene.

TASTING NOTES
PERFECT SERVE
ORIGIN

CASK: Bourbon casks and finished in toasted Portuguese red wine casks

ABV: 46.5%

COLOUR: Sunset Orange

NOSE: Brim full of tangy, zesty citrus fruits, reminiscent of orange breakfast marmalade, along with some distinctive floral notes, like honeysuckle and jasmine. These is also a curious note like beeswax, or scented candles, and with a splash of water, more perfumes notes emerge, like peach blossom and vanilla.

PALATE: The mouthfeel has a real ‘bite’ to it, as the lively citrus fruit notes are encountered; the notes of Seville orange, lemon and grapefruit veritably dance across the palette, along with softer notes of baked bread, apricot, muscovado sugar and butter candy. There is a curious, anaesthetizing, menthol note in the background, and finally the medium – long aftertaste has flavors of orange oil, leather and oak tannin.

Enjoy with your favourite mixer, neat, with a little water or on the rocks
