This delicious 15-year-old limited-edition bottle is the extremely rare third-batch release in Glenmorangie’s Cadboll Estate series of single estate whiskies, each of which has a rich character and creamy texture that’s the result of being distilled from barley grown on Glenmorangie’s own land.
While the first two releases were aged wholly in bourbon casks, a portion of this third batch release has been finished in Amontillado sherry casks, bringing a nutty, spicy twist to the series’ signature creaminess.

TASTING NOTES

Appearance: Deep ochre

Aroma: Touches of honey, hazelnuts, mandarin oranges and toffee are followed by fragrant top notes, including sweet ripening barley and baked peaches. A splash of water releases some flinty minerality, along with floral notes of honeysuckle and jasmine.

Taste: A gently spicy mouthfeel leads into a burst of sweet and spicy flavours, including heather honey, gingerbread, hazelnut praline, fudge, toffee and a touch of clove. Nuttiness from the Amontillado cask is always present, while a lingering aftertaste has touches of marzipan, coconut and freshly baked fruit loaf.
