A Krug Vintage is a blend of the most expressive wines from a single year, enhanced by more than ten years of resting in the cellars. Each Krug Vintage reveals a unique personality, shaped entirely by the conditions of its harvest.

Krug 2013 is defined by Chardonnay, which leads its aromatic profile with a vibrant medley of citrus notes, while carefully selected plots of Pinot Noir and Meunier enhance and reveal the purity of its character. Born of a cool, rainy year and an unusually late autumn harvest, Krug 2013 expresses remarkable tension and elegance. The Tasting Committee nicknamed it “Exalted Citrus” for its brilliant, tangy personality.

ORIGIN

Appearance: Brilliant, yellow gold.

Aroma: Initial notes of lemon and bitter orange notes that give way to aromas of candied citrus, toasted almonds, and honey.

Taste: Direct and precise, dominated by the freshness of citrus in all its forms. Carried by notes of lemon, blood orange, grapefruit and tangerine, its ample structure and mouthfeel unfold with remarkable intensity and length. 

This is a vintage that pairs deliciously with seafood dishes, such as sea bass ceviche infused with ginger and lemongrass, or creamy pasta topped with sea urchin. Additionally, this Vintage beautifully complements fresh goat cheese with candied citrus, or any other rich, unctuous cheese.
