La Grande Dame, is a showcase of the House’s excellence. It perfectly expresses its love for Pinot Noir, which since the 2008 vintage, has represented over 90% of the blend. The responsibility that lies on the shoulders of the Cellar Master is to glorify this grape and strike the right balance so that it expresses itself through its refined, elegant, light, delicate, yet powerful character, with firmness, extreme subtlety and a certain restraint. It is a tribute to Madame Clicquot and to the creative and elegant souls who have followed in her footsteps. A wine to reflect the image of the Grande Dame herself.

TASTING NOTES
FOOD PAIRINGS
ORIGIN

Appearance: Light Gold colour with a surprising glint

Aroma: A precise and vibrant bouquet opens with citrus accents of lime and yuzu, lifted by elegant floral notes of honeysuckle. Layers of apple and pear add fresh, pure fruit character, while subtle hints of ginger and tonka bean bring a refined exotic warmth. Delicate pastry notes complete the aromatic profile, adding depth and finesse.

Taste: On the palate, the cuvée reveals a deep and focused style, marked by subtle finesse and refreshing salinity. Intense flavours unfold through a bright expression of citrus—lemon, lime, yuzu—harmonising with white fruit nuances. The texture is silky yet precise, enriched by gentle pastry undertones and lifted by a touch of ginger and tonka bean, giving the wine both elegance and character. Its extended aging contributes to the wine’s remarkable purity, complexity and length.

Vegetables make an incredible pairing with La Grande Dame. A field of multiple chords with a rich and varied palette of aromas that demands the greatest creativity and technicality from chefs, to invent recipes over the seasons. Vegetables, herbs, fruits picked in the morning, cooked in the afternoon. Extremely fresh with a very strong expressive power, intensity and complexity of aromas - perfect to match a complex wine like La Grande Dame.
